The palace was home to the Marquises of Viana and is organised around patios, each different in size and planting. The rooms show furniture, tapestries and paintings, and visitors can usually tour both the rooms and the patios. In spring the patios are in flower. Out of season it is a quiet place to spend an hour or two.
