The square is on the cathedral's east side, on a slope with wide steps. Older religious and civic buildings frame it, and the Casa da Parra stands opposite, named after the stone vine fruits on its door. People sit on the steps, and it is quieter than the Obradoiro. There is no ticket and no closing time.
