Data checked on November 2, 2026
Toledo's Jewish community lived in this quarter until 1492, and two of its synagogues survive. The lanes are narrow and the houses are built close together, with small squares and arched passages. Today the district holds the synagogues, the Greco museum and several churches. A slow loop is enough to take it all in.
What to look for
- Narrow lanes between the synagogues
- Small squares around the Greco museum
- Arched passages and old doors
- Views of the Tagus from the western edge
Opening hours
Always open.
