Jewish quarter walk
The old Jewish quarter in the west of the old town, a tangle of narrow lanes between the synagogues, Santo Tomé and the Greco museum. It is a walk, with no ticket or fixed route.
Walk it early, before tour groups fill the lanes, and keep to the side streets between Calle de los Reyes Católicos and Plaza del Conde.

Toledo Cathedral
The Gothic cathedral of Spain's primate, with a cloister, a chapter house, a sacristy with El Greco paintings and a gallery of old masters. Visitors enter by a single door and the ticket carries a date and time.
Go as soon as it opens, when the nave is quiet and the light reaches the main altarpiece. Leave the afternoon for the lanes.
The ticket is valid only for the date and time printed on it, and it does not allow re-entry. Buy online or at the cathedral shop opposite the Puerta Llana, which is the only entrance for visitors. In busy periods pick your time ahead.
Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:30, Sunday 14:00 to 18:30. Closed on 1 January and 25 December. On 24 and 31 December it opens from 10:00 to 14:00, and on 6 January, 15 August and Holy Week days it opens from 14:00. Admission stops 30 minutes before closing.

Mirador del Valle
The classic viewpoint on the south bank, where the whole old town sits inside the loop of the Tagus. It is a stop for photos and a long look, not a visit.
