Lycabettus rises well above the surrounding districts, and the top gives the widest view in the city. The Acropolis and the Parthenon sit in the foreground, with Piraeus and the Saronic Gulf behind. A small chapel of Agios Georgios stands on the summit, and an open-air theatre on the slope hosts summer concerts. You can climb through pines from Kolonaki in about 20 minutes or take the funicular.
