Parque Eduardo VII
A large sloping park north of Baixa. The top gives a straight view down the avenue to the river, and the Estufa Fria greenhouse is inside the park.

The park is named after King Edward VII of Britain, who visited Lisbon in 1903. It climbs from Marquês de Pombal up to a high terrace, with formal hedge gardens in the middle and lawns on both sides. The Estufa Fria greenhouse sits inside the park. At the top you see straight down the line of the avenue to the river.

Getting there
Marquês de Pombal Metro station is at the bottom of the park, and the climb to the top takes about fifteen minutes.
Tip
Walk it from the top down, ending at Marquês de Pombal. Skip it if you are short on time.
