The Lonja was the trading hall of the merchants of Mallorca. It has a single large hall with slim, spiral columns that rise into the vault, and small towers on the walls. Today it is used for exhibitions, so the display inside changes. It is a short stop on the way along the sea front.

What to look for

  • Spiral columns holding up the vault
  • The Gothic windows and battlements
  • The square facing the building
  • Temporary exhibitions in the hall
