The old market moved to the Place du Jeu de Balle in 1873, and its Dutch name, Vossenplein, comes from the street beside it. Scrap dealers and traders have worked here in all weather ever since. Stalls sell old photographs, vintage furniture, second hand clothes and small objects, with no food sold at the market itself. Cafes and bars around the square fill up at lunch, and murals and small shops line the Marolles streets nearby.
