The basilica is named after St. Stephen, the first king of Hungary, and keeps a relic of his right hand in its own chapel. The dome is 96 metres high, the same as the Parliament, and no building in Budapest is allowed to be taller. Inside you see a wide hall under the dome, then the treasury, and a lift and stairs take you up to the terrace at the base of the dome.
