The museum is in a railway station built for the 1900 World's Fair and opened as a museum in 1986. It covers art from the middle of the 19th century to the early 20th century, with a large Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collection. The iron-and-glass hall is part of the visit, and the painting galleries are on the upper floors. The museum says renovation work affects access in places, so check the conditions before you go.

What to look for

  • The Impressionist galleries on the top floor
  • The great iron-and-glass hall of the old station
