Ruzafa, or Russafa in Valencian, runs east from the Estación del Nord to the Avinguda de Peris i Valero. It is the most mixed and bohemian part of the city, with street art, galleries and a long list of restaurants. The covered market is at the centre, with more than 160 stalls. The neighbourhood hosts art and theatre events through the year, which add to the evening crowd.

Getting there
The Xàtiva metro stop is about ten minutes away on foot.
Tip
Come in the late afternoon and stay for dinner, because most of the area works after 19:00. Treat the market as a morning visit.
