The Mont des Arts garden sits below Place Royale and forms a green stairway between the Grand-Place side of the city and the Royal Quarter. It was first built for the 1910 Brussels World's Fair and redone in the 1950s and again in 2001. The garden has benches, fountains and a carillon, with the KBR library and a congress centre around it. The visit is a short pause with a view.

Stop here between the Grand-Place and the museums on the hill. Listen for the carillon in the covered passage.
