St. Peter's stands on the hill that gave the early town its start, and the church is believed to be older than the first written record of the city. The climb is on narrow stairs, with a platform at the top that looks onto Marienplatz and the towers of the Frauenkirche. Inside, the church is richly decorated in baroque style. The visit is short and gives one of the best views in the old town.
