Santa Cruz was the Jewish quarter of medieval Seville until the expulsion of 1492. The winding layout survived, and so did the whitewashed houses, the small churches and the squares planted with orange trees. Through iron gates you can glimpse flower-filled courtyards. It is a place to wander without a plan, and a good link between the Alcázar, the cathedral and the Casa de Pilatos.
