Metropol Parasol (Las Setas)

A wooden canopy over Plaza de la Encarnación, finished in 2011. A lift takes you to a walkway on top with a view over the old town roofs.

The structure rises over Plaza de la Encarnación, in the north of the old centre. The standard ticket includes the 360 degree viewing platform, an audio guide, a short film about the city and an exhibition on the way down. The walkway on top follows the curves of the canopy. Most people spend about an hour here.

Open daily from 9:30. It closes at midnight in winter and at 1:00 in summer, and the last entry is 30 minutes before closing. The shorter winter time is shown.

Tickets and booking

Adult ticket €16. The general experience starts at 16 euros. A package with a flamenco show costs more.

Buy a time slot on the official site. You can change or cancel with a refund up to two hours before.

Getting there

It is about 12 minutes on foot north of the cathedral, through the pedestrian shopping streets.

Tip

Go up about 30 minutes before sunset to see the city in daylight and then lit. The sunset light show runs at that hour.
