The museum fills a former convent around a set of cloisters and a church. The collection runs from medieval work to the 20th century, but its strength is the Seville school of the 17th century. The church gallery has the largest paintings, and the smaller rooms around the cloisters are quieter. Allow two hours if you like religious painting, less if you do not.
What to look for
- Murillo paintings in the church gallery
- Works by Zurbarán
- Paintings by Valdés Leal
- The convent cloisters
