The church was built in the 18th century after a plague vow and is the last work of Fischer von Erlach. Its dome fresco shows the saint pleading for an end to the plague, and the church sits at the edge of a square with a pond. The ticket covers the church model, the panoramic terrace, the treasury and the organ, with an audio guide. The Imperial Oratory can be seen by prior written reservation.

Open Monday to Saturday 9:00 to 18:00. On Sundays and public holidays the church opens late in the morning and closes in the evening. Masses are held at set times, so the visit may be limited then.

Adult ticket €9.50. The ticket includes the church model, the panoramic terrace, the treasury, the organ and an audio guide. Children aged ten and under enter free, and there are reduced prices for students and young people.
Getting there
Karlsplatz station on the U1, U2 and U4 lines is at the square.
Tip
Look at the dome fresco from the floor first, and then take the panoramic terrace to see it closer.
