The market runs along the former Wien river bed and has been the city's main food market for generations. Stalls sell fruit, spices, olives, cheese and bread, and a number of them are now small restaurants with tables outside. The walk from end to end takes about 20 minutes without stopping. Saturday is the busiest day because of the flea market.
