The quadrilateral is a grid of quiet streets lined with 19th century palaces turned into fashion houses. Via Montenapoleone ranks among the most expensive shopping streets in the world. Behind the shop fronts, several house museums, such as Bagatti Valsecchi and Poldi Pezzoli, and Palazzo Morando keep the old interiors.
