Trevi Fountain
The Baroque fountain that fills a small square at the end of narrow streets. You can see it from the piazza at any hour; the basin area closest to the water needs a ticket.

The fountain fills one side of a small square, with a sea god's chariot and carved rocks rising out of the paving. It was built in the 18th century and is fed by an ancient aqueduct. The streets that lead to it are narrow, so the first view comes as a surprise, and the square is busy at most hours.
What to look for
- The central figure of Oceanus on his shell chariot
- The sea horses and tritons
- The palace facade that forms the backdrop
- The coins thrown over the shoulder into the basin
Opening hours
Always open.
Tickets for the basin area are checked from 9:00 to 22:00. The view from the piazza is open at all times.
