After a flood in 1957 the river was diverted south of the city, and the old riverbed became a park. The gardens run across the city and are crossed by eighteen bridges, from a 15th century Gothic one to a modern one by Santiago Calatrava. A flat cycle path follows the length of the park. Choose a section: the Torres de Serranos and the Museu de Belles Arts near the old town, the Palau de la Música, or the playground built around a giant figure of Gulliver.
