Alhambra and Generalife
The Nasrid palace city on the Sabika hill: the Alcazaba fortress, the Nasrid Palaces, the Generalife gardens and the Renaissance Palace of Charles V. The ticket gives a fixed time for the Nasrid Palaces, so the rest of the visit is built around that slot.
In summer take the first slot, before the heat settles on the Alcazaba and the gardens. In winter an afternoon slot avoids the coldest hours. Wear shoes with grip, since the stone paths are worn smooth.
Book the general daytime ticket online as early as you can. Choose the Nasrid Palaces time first, because arriving late means losing that entry. Tickets must be collected at least one hour before the Nasrid Palaces time.
Daytime hours are 08:30 to 20:00 until 14 October, then 08:30 to 18:00 from 15 October to 31 March. Night visits run on fewer days: Tuesday to Saturday until 14 October, then Friday and Saturday only. Closed on 25 December and 1 January. The Palace of Charles V and the Alhambra Museum are free to enter.

El Bañuelo Arab Baths
An 11th century Arab bath house on the Carrera del Darro, one of the best preserved in Spain. It is small, lit by star-shaped skylights, and quick to see.
Fit it into the Darro walk. It takes about half an hour and sits a few steps from the street.
Daily 10:00 to 17:00 from 15 September to 30 April. From 1 May to 14 September it opens 09:00 to 14:30 and 17:00 to 20:30. Closed on 25 December and 1 January.

Granada Cathedral
A large Renaissance cathedral begun in the 16th century, with a circular main chapel and a tall, pale nave. The ticket is separate from the Royal Chapel next door.
Go on a weekday morning, Tuesday to Thursday, when the queue is shortest. Visit the Royal Chapel on the same trip.
Tickets are sold online and at the desk. Buy online if you plan to come at midday or at a weekend, which the official site flags as the busy times.
Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:15, Sundays 15:00 to 18:15. The doors close 30 minutes after the last entry. On 1 November it opens from 15:00. Check the official page for other changes.

Mirador de San Nicolás
The best-known viewpoint in the Albaicín, a small plaza beside a church with a straight view across the Darro valley to the Alhambra. Sierra Nevada fills the background on clear days.
Sunset is the busiest time. Arrive an hour early for space at the wall, or come in the morning when the plaza is almost empty.

Carrera del Darro and Paseo de los Tristes
A flat riverside street from Plaza Nueva along the Darro, with the Alhambra walls overhead. It is the easiest way into the Albaicín and the best walk after dark.
Walk it at dusk or in the evening, when the Alhambra walls are lit and the terraces fill up.
