Corral del Carbón
A 14th century Nasrid merchants' inn with a stone courtyard, a few steps from the Cathedral. A short stop between the Alcaicería and Plaza Nueva.

The building dates from 1336, in the reign of Yusuf I, and served as an alhóndiga, a warehouse and inn for traders. It is the best preserved building of its kind in Spain. Later it was used as a theatre and as a coal store, which gave it its present name. A visit takes about 20 minutes.

Getting there
It is on Calle Mariana Pineda, two minutes from Plaza Isabel la Católica and the C30, C32 and C35 stop.

It is a short stop, so pair it with the Alcaicería or the Cathedral.
