A market has traded near London Bridge for centuries, and today the covered halls and the railway arches around them are given over to food. Stalls sell cheese, bread, spices, fruit and hot dishes to eat standing up. It works better as a lunch stop than as a place to shop for the day. Southwark Cathedral is next door.
What to look for
- Cheese and cured meat stalls
- Hot street food at lunchtime
- Fresh bread and pastries
