The museum sits in a bowl-shaped building next to the company headquarters. The displays follow the brand from early motorcycles and aircraft engines to modern concept cars, with rotating special exhibitions. BMW Welt is a separate building with a large hall of vehicles. Together they suit visitors who like design and engineering and want a rainy afternoon plan.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:30, and closed on Mondays. It also closes on 20 to 22 October 2026, 24 to 26 December 2026 and 31 December 2026 to 1 January 2027. BMW Welt is open Monday to Saturday 07:30 to 24:00, and Sunday and holidays 09:00 to 24:00.

Tickets and booking
Adult ticket €17. The standard adult ticket is listed on the official page, with a lower ticket for students, seniors and visitors with a disability. BMW Welt itself is free.
Getting there
Olympiazentrum station (U3) is right beside BMW Welt, and the museum is a short walk across the square.

Start in the museum for context, then walk across to BMW Welt to look at the cars and the building.
