The grounds were designed for the 1972 Summer Games and still host sport, concerts and walks. The most striking part is the translucent tent roof over the stadium, arena and swimming hall. Paths wind across low hills made from war rubble, and the lake is good for a slow loop. It sits north of the centre, so pair it with the BMW Museum next door.
What to look for
- Tent roof over the main venues
- Olympiaberg hill and its view
- Lake and park paths
- Skylift while the tower is closed
Opening hours
Always open.
The park is open at all hours, but areas can close during events. The Olympic Tower has been closed since 1 June 2024 and is expected to reopen from October 2027. The park suggests the Skylift as an alternative, which goes up to about 70 metres.
