The collection belonged to Peggy Guggenheim, who lived in the palace for about three decades. It focuses on European and American art of the first half of the 20th century. The rooms are small, the collection is easy to take in and the garden is part of the visit. The palace has a low profile on the canal, with a terrace facing the water.

Open daily 10:00 to 18:00, closed on Tuesdays and 25 December. The ticket office closes and last entry is at 17:00.

Tickets and booking
Adult ticket €17. The adult ticket is 17 euros. Students under 26 pay 9 euros, visitors over 70 pay 14 euros and children under 10 enter free.
The museum advises buying online for a time slot, and also sells tickets at the ticket office.
Getting there
The Accademia and Salute vaporetto stops are each a short walk from the entrance.
Tip
Come after the Accademia, which is a short walk away, for a change from Renaissance painting.
