Spaccanapoli means roughly that it splits Naples, and it follows one of the east to west streets of the ancient town. The name covers several streets in a row, among them Via Benedetto Croce and Via San Biagio dei Librai. The walk passes Piazza del Gesù Nuovo, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore and a string of churches, with side lanes full of shrines and workshops. Allow time for a coffee and for detours.
