It is the only surviving market place in the Old Town, with roots going back to 1232. In the past it spread into the parallel streets, but today it fills Havelská street. Stalls sell fresh fruit and vegetables during the week and more tourist goods at weekends. It is a short stop between Wenceslas Square and the Old Town Square.

Metro A or B to Můstek, then a five minute walk along Melantrichova street.
Tip
Buy fruit here on a weekday morning, when the stalls are mostly food and there are few tourists.
