Jewish Quarter and Jewish Museum
The synagogues, the Old Jewish Cemetery and the exhibitions of the Jewish Museum, all in a few streets next to the Old Town. One ticket covers every site the museum runs.
Start at opening with the Pinkas Synagogue and the Old Jewish Cemetery, which fill up first, and finish with the synagogues that hold exhibitions.
Tickets are sold online and at the museum ticket offices in the Spanish, Klausen, Pinkas and Maisel synagogues and at the Visitor Centre. Ticket sales stop 30 minutes before closing. A ticket is valid for three opening days, and each site can be entered once.
Open Sunday to Friday and closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays. From 1 September to 17 October the sites open from 9:00 to 18:00. From 18 October they close at 16:30, and on 24 December at 14:00. The Old-New Synagogue is run by the Jewish Community and usually closes an hour before the start of Shabbat.

Charles Bridge
A stone bridge from the fourteenth century, closed to cars and lined with statues. It is free and open at any hour, and it links the Old Town with Lesser Town.
Cross at sunrise or after dark. From mid morning the deck is a slow crowd of tour groups and street sellers.
Open at all times. The two towers at the ends are separate sights with their own hours.

St Nicholas Church and Lesser Town Square
The big Baroque church on the square below the Castle, with a dome you can see from across the river. The square around it is free, and the church has a ticket.
Walk up Nerudova street to the Castle afterwards, since the church sits at the foot of that route.
From July to October the church opens 9:00 to 18:00 on Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 9:00 to 17:00 on Friday and Saturday. Hours change by month through the year, and last entry is 15 minutes before closing.

Vyšehrad
A fortress hill above the south river bend with a basilica, a cemetery and open walks along the walls. Entry to the grounds is free all year.
Walk the ramparts on the river side at the end of the afternoon, when the light is on the Castle across the river.
The grounds are open at all hours. The information centre at the Leopold Gate opens daily from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 18:00.

Dancing House
A modern glass and stone building on the river embankment, usually seen from outside. It takes about twenty minutes, and it is free to look at.
See it from the embankment on the Old Town side as well, for the best view of the two towers.
The facade can be seen at any time. The gallery and the terrace restaurant inside have their own hours.

Wenceslas Square
A long boulevard rather than a square, with the National Museum at the top. It is free and open at all hours, and it is more a place to cross than to linger.
Walk it from the museum down to Můstek in the evening, when the lit shop fronts and the passages are at their best.
Open at all times. The Christmas market runs from 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027.

Strahov Monastery and Library
A hilltop monastery with a baroque library, a gallery and a quiet courtyard. The library halls are viewed from the doorway.
Combine it with the Castle in one morning, since Strahov is a ten minute walk away, and leave your bag in the locker at the box office before you go in.
The library and the gallery open every day from 9:00 to 17:00. Library tickets are sold until 16:15 with last entry at 16:30, and joint tour tickets are sold until 16:00. The library is closed on 24 and 25 December and on Easter Sunday.

Prague Castle
A walled hilltop complex with St Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St George's Basilica and Golden Lane. The courtyards are free to enter, and the main sights inside need a ticket and a security check.
Arrive at opening, walk straight to the cathedral, then do the Old Royal Palace and the basilica, and leave Golden Lane for the end.
Tickets for the circuits are sold at the information centres inside the Castle. The main circuit can also be bought online through a ticketing partner named on the official page. A ticket is valid for two days, and each building can be entered once.
From 1 April to 31 October the historical buildings open from 9:00 to 17:00. St Vitus Cathedral opens at 12:00 on Sundays, with last entry at 16:40. From 1 November the buildings close at 16:00. The Castle grounds are open daily from 6:00 to 22:00, and the gardens are closed from 1 November to the end of February. On 10 October 2026 the cathedral opens only from 12:30 to 17:00.

Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock
A Gothic town hall with a tall tower, a chapel and the medieval astronomical clock. The visit goes up the tower by lift for a view over the square.
Go in the first hour after opening, when the official early bird discount of 50 percent applies and the tower is quiet.
Tickets are sold on the ground floor, where a priority counter serves online ticket holders. Skip the line tickets can be bought online from the official seller, and they cover the tower only. Visitors under 15 must be with an adult.
Open every day, 9:00 to 20:00 from April to December and 10:00 to 19:00 from January to March. The hours change on 24, 25 and 31 December and on 1 January, and the early bird discount does not apply on 25 December and 1 January.

Old Town Square
The main square of historic Prague, founded in the twelfth century and ringed by Gothic and Baroque buildings. It is free and open at all hours.
Be in front of the Astronomical Clock a few minutes before the hour and stand to the side, because the crowd fills in fast.
Open at all times. The Christmas market runs from 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027.
