St Nicholas Church and Lesser Town Square

St Nicholas is the best known Baroque church in Prague, and its dome is 20 metres across. The interior reaches about 57 metres to the top of the lantern, the highest inside space in the city. Concerts are held on the 18th century organ throughout the year. The square outside is the centre of Lesser Town, with palaces and arcaded houses on every side.

From July to October the church opens 9:00 to 18:00 on Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 9:00 to 17:00 on Friday and Saturday. Hours change by month through the year, and last entry is 15 minutes before closing.

Tickets and booking
Adult ticket CZK 150. The square is free, and the church ticket has a reduced rate for children and seniors.
Getting there
Trams 12, 20 and 22 stop at Malostranské náměstí beside the church, and Metro A at Malostranská is about ten minutes away.
Tip
Walk up Nerudova street to the Castle afterwards, since the church sits at the foot of that route.
