The tower was built in 1891 after members of the Czech Tourist Club saw the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and it is about a fifth of the size. There are 299 steps to the cabin at 51 metres, and a lift for disabled visitors and seniors. Around it the hill has lawns, gardens and paths down to the river. The tower, the Mirror Maze and the Štefánik Observatory share a combined ticket.

What to look for

  • The view of the Castle and the river from the cabin
