Náplavka Embankment

The embankment runs at water level below the road and gives a different view of the Castle on the hill. It serves as a quay for sightseeing boats and it hosts cultural events during the year. On Saturdays the farmers' market sells vegetables, fruit, pastries, cheese, fish and crafts. It is an easy walk to pair with the Dancing House and Vyšehrad.

The embankment is open at all times. The Saturday farmers' market runs from 8:00 to 14:00, from February to December, and moves to Palackého náměstí if there is a big event.

Getting there
Metro B to Karlovo náměstí, then walk down to the river in about ten minutes.
Tip
Go on a Saturday morning for the market and stay for a walk towards Vyšehrad along the river.
